SHENZHEN's sf Express aims to expand air freight operations this year through SF Airlines as it targets increased market share,' reports London's Air Cargo News.
The expansion of oversize air freight will remain a key focus area, said China-based parent company SF Holding in its full-year investor presentation.
The company said SF Express aimed to focus on 'upgrading large item air freight capabilities'. It further added it planned to 'rapidly expand in industrial large item freight' with a goal of 30 per cent industrial freight volume growth.
Referring to SF Airlines' operations at its Ezhou Airport air cargo hub, SF Holding said that there were now 15 international routes while 3,000 international flights were carried out last year.
In total, SF Airlines carried out 9,100 annual all-cargo international flights in 2024.
SF Airlines' network now spans over 100 domestic and international locations. The airline received its first freighter and launched its first cargo route in 2009.
In 2024, SF Airlines transported almost 1.2m tonnes of air cargo, exceeding one million tonnes of annual cargo volume for the first time in its history, the company said.
SF Holding's express and logistics revenue for the year was RMB 205.8bn, representing a year-over-year increase of 7.7 per cent.
