The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has announced the latest statistic data on Azeri oil export via the main export pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) named after Heydar Aliyev: oil shipping from Ceyhan fell by 26% in November versus October 2014.
The SOCAR informs that in November it was shipped 1.847 million tons of Azeri oil from Turkish port Ceyhan against 2.495 bn in October, 2.54 million tons in September, 2.214 million in August, and 2.647 million tons in July (this year’s still best index).
In the first quarter of 2014 shipment made 6.861 million tons, in the second quarter 7.421 million tons, in the third quarter 7.405 million tons, and in the fourth quarter still makes up 4.3 million tons. The best index in 2013 was recorded in May (2.76 million tons). The best index for 2012 was recorded in June (2.716 million tons) and the best index in 2011 was recorded in March (3.011 million tons).
In November 1.01 million tons of overall shipping accounted for the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) against 1.64 million tons in November, 1.813 million tons in September, 1.976 million tons in August (this year’s still best monthly index for the Fund) and 1.653 million tons in July.
In the 1st quarter of 2014 SOFAZ shipment made 4.936 million tons, in the 2nd quarter 5.095 million tons and in the 3rd quarter 5.4 million tons. In the 4th quarter the indicator still makes 2.65 million tons.
The best monthly figure for 2013 was registered in May (1.975 million tons). In 2012 the best figure was registered in March (1.938 million tons) and in 2011 – in April (2.5 million tons).
“In 2014 shipment of Azeri oil from Ceyhan still totals 26.4 million tons including 18.128 million tons of oil accounting for SOFAZ,” it was reported.
In 2013 shipment of Azeri oil from Ceyhan totaled 29.2 million tons including 19.57 million tons shipped in favor of SOFAZ.
For 2012 shipment if Azeri oil from Ceyhan totaled 29.299 million tons including 20.3 million tons shipped in favor of SOFAZ.
In 2011 shipping totaled 32.08 million tons and 23.25 million of it accounted for SOFAZ. In 2010 shipping reached 37.3 million tons against shipping of 36.3 million tons in 2009. The 2009 best indicator was registered in May (3.5 million tons). This indicator was repeated in May and July of 2010.
From the very start of the BTC operation in mid-2006 to 1 December 2014 the export from Ceyhan totaled 259.586 million tons of Azeri oil.
