UZMAR Shipyard Launches Advanced Escort Tug ‘TIGER’ for OCEAN S.R.L.UZMAR Shipyard has announced the successful launch of the NB-166 ‘TIGER,’ an 80-tonne bollard pull RAstar 3200W Class Escort Tug. Designed for OCEAN S.R.L., the state-of-the-art vessel is recognized for its exceptional maneuverability, escort capabilities, and cutting-edge technology.Built to Robert Allan designs, the TIGER features azimuth stern drive (ASD) propulsion, advanced firefighting systems, and multi-purpose operational capabilities, including ship rescue, port operations, towing, and standby services. With a length of 32 meters, a beam of 13.2 meters, and a depth of 5.5 meters, the tug is powered by two Caterpillar 3516E main engines rated at 2350 bkW at 1,800 rpm, coupled with IMO III certified after-treatment systems. Two Kongsberg US255 Z-drives with 2.8m FP propellers further enhance its performance.
