With the first call of 'ONE TRUST' at Wilhelmshaven on 31 March, THE Alliance officially launched its Far East Loop 2 (FE2) service to Wilhelmshaven, Germany. EUROGATE Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven has become the only container terminal in Germany to serve all three shipping alliances - 2M Alliance, Ocean Alliance and THE Alliance - at the same time.
With this new service, Wilhelmshaven offers an excellent option for Asia-Europe shipping transport. Via Wilhelmshaven, containers can be transhipped to Scandinavia and the Baltic by feeder and to the main industrial centres and rail hubs of the European hinterland by rail and truck.
According to the THE Alliance Product 2023 announcement, the new rotation of the FE2 service from April will be:
Busan - Shanghai - Ningbo - Nansha - Yantian - Singapore - Tangier - Southampton - Le Havre - Wilhelmshaven - Rotterdam - Singapore - Busan
It is worth mentioning that Wilhelmshaven is the only German port for Nansha in all Asia-Europe services of THE Alliance.
As a common-user terminal, EUROGATE Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven was put into operation by the EUROGATE Group in 2012. With a natural water depth of 18 metres in front of the quay, the world's largest container ships are able to call at any time without dependence on tides.
