TAG Aviation (Malta) has ceased operating Global 5000 aircraft under its Maltese AOC, according to Switzerland's ch-aviation research. However, it continues to operate a Global 5000 under its Sanmarinese AOC.
The aircraft, registered as 9H-ASB (msn 9273), is 16.9 years old and can accommodate up to 13 passengers. Its last flight under tag Aviation's Maltese code, 'TEU', took place on August 14, 2024, from Athens to Burgas. On August 22, 2024, it flew to Bodrum Milas, then to Istanbul Ataturk, before heading to Malaga, using its registration as the callsign.
By August 25, it began service with its new operator, Hyperion Aviation (HYP, Malta International), flying under the 'HYP' code. It completed a test flight around Ciudad Real before returning to Malaga, and later that day, flew onwards to Athens. Despite the operator change, the aircraft retains the same registration.
Since 2018, TAG Aviation has operated up to two Global 5000s on its Maltese AOC. Its current fleet in Malta still includes two Global variants: one Global 5500 and one Global Express.
The operator also operates one Challenger 604, two Challenger 650s, one Falcon 2000LXS, one Falcon 7X, and two Phenom 300Es. Additionally, TAG Aviation continues to operate a Global 5000 through its TAG Aviation San Marino (TAG, Rimini) division.
