FULL container throughput at port Adelaide in February saw a decrease compared with the same month last year, according to the latest available trade statistics from Flinders Ports.
Adelaide's total full container throughput in February 2023 amounted to 18,757 TEU, a decrease of 24 per cent on February 2022's throughput of 24,736 TEU, according to Australia's Daily Cargo News.
In February, Adelaide's full exports came to 10,223 TEU, slightly down on full exports in February 2022 (11,368 TEU).
And full imports through the port in February came to 8,534 TEU down 36 per cent on the same month last year (13,368 TEU).
And in February the port handled a total of 4,733 TEU of empty containers, down from 5,202 TEU the same month last year. There were slightly more export empties (2,514 TEU) than there were imports of empties (2,219 TEU).
In February last year, there were 38 containership calls at Adelaide, while in February 2023, there were 48.
