OLD Dominion Freight Line, the big Nasdaq-listed North Carolina trucker, posted a quarterly 2.6 per cent increase per hundredweight and a 4.1 per cent increase in less than truck load revenue year on year.
'Our revenue results reflect the continued softness in the domestic economy,' said Old Dominion CEO Greg Gantt.
'We will continue to focus on our consistent, cost-based approach to pricing and delivering superior service, which we believe provides our customers with an unmatched value proposition that supports long-term growth in our market share.'
Old Dominion Freight Line is a leading, less-than-truckload union-free motor carrier providing regional, inter-regional and national LTL services through a single integrated organisation.
