THE Liberia flagged 63,537-dwt containership msc Sao Paulo V has requested assistance following a fire outbreak in its engine room, reported Athens's Safety4Sea.
The vessel had departed from Montreal earlier in the day and was nearing the Les Escoumins pilot station in the Gulf of St Lawrence on its way to Portugal when fire broke out.
