THE International Air Transport Association (IATA) World Cargo Symposium (WCS) may well draw 1,400 delegates to Istanbul April 25-27 if past performance is anything to go by.

Last year, 1,400 delegates gathered in London to attend the WCS 2022. This year, the symposium, is themed 'Age of Change: Moving Air Cargo Forward'.
Themed 'Age of Change: Moving Air Cargo Forward,' the Opening Plenary kicks off with a welcome from Ahmet Bolat, iata chairman and Turkish Airlines board member, who will be joined by the flag carrier's chief cargo officer.
Day 2 will feature digitisation, sustainability, safety and security. Digitisation stream will focus on how new technologies and innovations such as Machine Learning impact the sector. Executives from Lufthansa and Cathay Pacific will discuss the implementation of IATA's ONE Record.
LATAM Cargo's director of product development is set to share the challenges and lessons learned in the carrier's sustainability journey, especially concerning plastic reduction.
On Day 3, delegates will share thoughts on ecommerce. The two-hour-long segment will also address questions that industry players might have on ecommerce.
