GUJARAT Pipavav reports that its cargo container volume dropped 17 per cent to 179,000 TEU, records New Delhi's Business Standard.

Its dry bulk cargo for the quarter under review is pegged at 0.46 million tonnes, down 40.2 per cent from 0.77 tonnes recorded in the year-ago period.
Gujarat Pipavav's ro-ro cargo volume for the quarter ended September 30 is pegged at 33,000 units, compared to 19,000 units in the year-ago period.
During the quarter, the company handled 515 container trains, compared to 626 in the year ago period.
The number of containers handled on trains likely stood at 118,000 TEU during the quarter, up 74 per cent compared to 145,000 a year ago.
