TAIWAN's Evergreen has ended its slot charter agreement with Cosco and Hanjin on their weekly GME/AWT service linking China with Cristobal and Houston, reports American Shipper.
The last sailing departed Shanghai May 4 on the Cosco Piraeus. The service operates with nine vessels, seven from Cosco and two from Hanjin, with an average capacity of 4,263 TEU.
The rotation of the GME/AWT remains Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Shenzhen-Yantian, Cristobal, Houston and back to Shanghai.
Evergreen participates on two other services that call Cristobal from China, the NUE and NUE3, said BlueWater Reporting. The carrier offers no other services that call Houston directly from China.
