EASTERN Pacific Shipping has ordered ten 2,900-TEU containerships from Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding, reports Colchester's Seatrade Maritime News.
The contract includes six firm vessels and four options. Designed by Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute (SDARI), the ships are 189.55 metres long and 35.2 metres wide.
It is the first time eastern Pacific Shipping has ordered newbuildings at Mawei Shipbuilding.
