Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that with the digital transformation, the quality and speed of the service provided on Turkish flagged ships will increase and said; “By minimizing contact in the port presidencies thanks to our e-state service; Within the scope of the fight against coronavirus, we will contribute to the protection of the health of both our citizens and our staff.''
The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, General Directorate of Maritime Affairs shared the information that ship transactions will be transferred to the E-state environment.
ELECTRONIC SERVICE WILL BE OFFERED FOR SHIP SALES
In the statement made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure it was said; “With the e-government application we developed, many transactions such as application, information inquiry and payment related to ships and watercraft registered in the Turkish International Ship Registry and Mooring Register are carried out electronically without the need for our citizens to go to the port authorities. We will ensure that they improve."
The statement made included the following information:
"However, for transactions such as ship sales that require our citizens to go to the port authorities, similar to the 'Web Deed' application of our General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, most of the transactions and control will be carried out electronically, our citizen will go to our port authority just to sign at the appointed appointment time. In addition, the time spent by our citizens for transportation, waiting at ports and collecting documents will decrease significantly and the quality and speed of our service will increase."
