Chittogong sets record in container handling in January

A record number of 292,000 containers were handled at Bangladesh's main Port of Chittagong, in January, reported Dhaka's Business Standard.

Chattogong Port Secretary Omar Farooq said that 90,909 containers were unloaded at the port in January.



He said that Chattogong port is always active to keep the container handling activities. The port authorities are always vigilant so that the containers do not get entangled.
