CATHAY Pacific Cargo has resumed its weekly Boeing 747 freighter service from Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport in Queensland, Australia, to Hong Kong, according to a Linkedin post.
'We are thrilled to be supporting local producers once more, delivering a wide range of exports including chilled meats, vegetables, and more to Hong Kong and beyond,' said the carrier.
Said Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport: 'This freighter service is a gateway for oversize cargo, chilled meat, horticulture-fruit/vegetables, seafood, oil and gas, mining equipment, and artwork.'
The airport operates its international air cargo terminal with Menzies Aviation.
cathay Pacific Cargo launched Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport's first dedicated international freighter in 2016.
The service has been suspended since December 2021 due to Covid crisis measures for air cargo crew.
The carrier declared it is expecting a slow peak season while it adds passenger flights and faces cross-border trucking issues.
