HONG Kong's cathay Pacific announced that their aircrew who stayed in Frankfurt, Germany, since November 1 will be quarantined for 21 days in a government facility.
The airline operator said it was following the heath authorities' 'prescribed procedures', reports RTHK News.
'We will fully comply with the health authorities' requirement that aircrew who had stayed in Frankfurt since November 1 need to be quarantined for 21 days in a government facility,' it said in a statement.
The move comes after three of their cargo aircrew members tested positive for Covid-19 from flight coming in from the German city.
The airline said they immediately arranged another hotel for their aircrew in Frankfurt to stay in and will suspend stopovers at the city for their cargo aircrew 'as soon as practicable'.
Cathay stressed that all their operating aircrew have been fully vaccinated and that they will arrange for them to undergo daily Covid testing.
