MEDITERRANEAN Shipping Company (MSC) has negotiated long-term time charters for two 8,266 TEU ships with Capital Product Partners.
Both charters will last until February 2024, and will generate US$44.5 million in EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortisation) over this period, reported Singapore's Splash 247.
The 2007-built Agamemnon will start the new charter in the third quarter, upon completion of scrubber installation work and the passing of a special survey. The 2006-built Archimidis, which is being chartered currently by MSC, will begin its new charter at the end of the fourth quarter, also once the scrubber installation and special survey have been completed.
