FRENCH forwarding giant Bollore Logistics has opened a dedicated aerospace warehouse in Hamburg next to the seaport, reports London's Air Cargo News.
The 7,000-square metre aerospace facility is a few kilometres from the production sites of major aircraft manufacturers and OEM suppliers.
'Thanks to direct access to the motorway network, parts can be transported in five to 10 minutes at the foot of the production lines,' said a company statement.
The Hamburg facility, built in 2018, has a set of surveillance and intervention systems: CCTV, 32 surveillance cameras, access control systems.
In Europe, the new Hamburg warehouse reinforces a network of Bollore aerospace hubs in Toulouse, Marseille, Paris, London Heathrow, Amsterdam, Rome, and Madrid.
Bollore Logistics global aerospace network comprises 24 sites worldwide, with a total storage area of 150,000 square metres.
