ACS's time-critical division experienced a 175% growth in its next-flight-out service, driven by geopolitical volatility and supply chain challenges.
Air Charter Services' time-critical division saw huge growth in its next-flight-out service last year, driven by geopolitical volatility, reports London's Air Cargo News.
The NFO service, used by companies needing urgent shipments, recorded a 175 per cent year-on-year increase in 2025. Robert Alleman, chief executive of ACS Time Critical, stated that all three services - NFO, on-board courier, and integrated road - grew strongly, with NFO being the standout.
Mr. Alleman noted that recent geopolitical situations, tariffs, and supply chain disruptions made NFO invaluable. He added that IATA Cargo Accreditation provided ACS with direct access to airline capacity, which sped up bookings and improved efficiency for customers.
ACS hired Ash McCook in 2024 to develop the NFO offering. Meanwhile, its on-board courier service rose 85 per cent to record levels, while the US ground transportation unit arranging trucking saw a 53 per cent increase in bookings.
Group cargo director Dan Morgan-Evans mentioned that restructuring the time-critical leadership team, with Mr. Alleman as head and Andreas Spies promoted to chief operating officer, had paid off. He added that the future looked bright as ACS expands its team following last year's gains.
