    Qatar Airways Cargo boosts capacity by 12% with new freighter routes and increased bellyhold space on passenger flights, enhancing global logistics.

    Qatar Airways Cargo will expand its offered cargo capacity by 12 per cent through new freighter services and increased bellyhold space on passenger flights, reported London's Air Cargo News.

    The carrier has relaunched Boeing 777 freighter flights to Vienna and added a second 777F to Warsaw. The Vienna service operates on the route Doha-Budapest-Vienna-Doha, while the Warsaw freighter follows the route Doha-Budapest-Warsaw-Doha.

    Bellyhold capacity is rising with the introduction of new passenger routes. A Caracas service via Bogota begins on 22 July, offering 20 tonnes each way. Flights to Helsinki will restart on 15 July with four weekly services, increasing to seven in August, which will lift belly capacity from 40 to 70 tonnes. The Tokyo Haneda route returns on 16 July with four weekly flights, increasing to seven in August, thereby boosting belly capacity from 60 to 105 tonnes.

    Frequencies are also increasing across Africa and the Americas. Addis Ababa flights now utilize 777s with a weekly capacity of 44 tonnes. Tunis flights have risen to 10 weekly with a total capacity of 105 tonnes. In the US, Dallas flights have grown to 10 weekly with a capacity of 54 tonnes, Houston flights have increased to five weekly plus two freighters, totaling 228 tonnes, and New York flights now operate 14 weekly with a capacity of 88 tonnes. Sao Paulo flights have increased to 14 weekly, alongside four freighters, providing a total capacity of 479 tonnes.

    Asia capacity is also expanding significantly. Dhaka flights have risen to 17 weekly with a total capacity of 315 tonnes. Hong Kong now has 14 weekly passenger flights plus 42 freighters, totaling over 4,474 tonnes. Kathmandu flights have increased to 21 weekly with a capacity of 270 tonnes. Kuala Lumpur will rise to 21 weekly from 16 June, totaling 683 tonnes with freighters. Shanghai flights will increase to 10 weekly from 1 June, plus eight freighters, totaling 985 tonnes.

    In Europe, Istanbul flights have risen to 17 weekly plus two freighters, totaling 390 tonnes. Vienna flights have increased to seven weekly with 73 tonnes of bellyhold capacity and 100 tonnes of freighter capacity. Warsaw now totals 273 tonnes weekly.

    In the Middle East, Amman flights have doubled to 14 weekly plus one freighter, totaling 291 tonnes. Baghdad and Basra routes have relaunched with a combined capacity of 166 tonnes. Beirut flights have doubled to 14 weekly plus one freighter, totaling 275 tonnes. Dammam flights have increased to 21 weekly with a capacity of 351 tonnes.
