DAMAGED Yantian Express containers have been all discharged while Hapag-Lloyd works on a solution to transship them customers from Freeport, Bahamas, reports American Shipper. The undamaged cargo will remain on the 7,510-TEU ship, which will depart from the shipyard in Freeport, once repairs are made. The final port of call for the Yantian Express has yet to be determined, Hapag-Lloyd said in the customer advisory.

The Yantian Express was diverted to the Bahamas after fire broke out in early January when it was en route from Colombo to Halifax via Suez. All 23 crew members were evacuated the following day with no reported injuries.
