Ferry to be scrapped in Turkey after refloating

Once the "Panagia Tinou", which was floating again on Feb 11, has been stabilized, she was to be towed to breakers in Turkey. The salvage work was undertaken by the Antipollution ANE company. Initially specialized personnel proceeded to remove oil and sealed the openings. With the help of shipbuilders studies were carried out how the water culd be pumped out of the flooded areas. Once the necessary documents and licenses to be towed to the scrapyard in Turkey have been issued, the ship may start its last voyage.
