DEFAMED İzmir Branch General Assembly Held: Cansever Re-elected
The Ordinary General Assembly of the DEFAMED İzmir Branch of the ITU Maritime Faculty Alumni Association was held on Saturday, February 7. During the general assembly, which saw a high turnout, the current president, Capt. Fatih Mehmet Cansever, was re-elected as president.
The meeting addressed the association's activities, solidarity efforts among alumni, and goals for the upcoming period. In his speech to the participants, Cansever stated that the İzmir branch would continue its activities aimed at strengthening the bond among alumni and preserving maritime culture.
Emphasis on Solidarity
The association, which brings together graduates of the ITU Maritime Faculty, aims to keep communication alive among alumni through social and professional events organized throughout the year. As part of the association's activities, meetings, gatherings, and professional sharing sessions are organized, with the goal of establishing a strong solidarity network among alumni.
Following the general assembly, the new board of directors plans to increase social activities in the upcoming period and ensure more active participation of young graduates in the association's work.
