Blue lists dominate İMEAK Chamber of Shipping elections, winning in İskenderun and Kocaeli, while renewing mandates in Karadeniz Ereğli and Aliağa.

In the elections held on October 1 and 2 at the four branches of the İMEAK Chamber of Shipping, unofficial results indicate that the blue lists were the preferred choice of the members. The Blue List won the elections in İskenderun, where three lists competed, and in Kocaeli, where two lists were in the race, while the teams that participated in the elections with a single list in Karadeniz Ereğli and Aliağa renewed their mandate.

The blue lists finished ahead in the elections held on October 1 and 2 at the İskenderun, Kocaeli, Karadeniz Ereğli, and Aliağa branches of the İMEAK Chamber of Shipping. According to unofficial results, the blue lists won the elections in İskenderun and Kocaeli, where multiple lists competed, while the teams entering the elections with a single list in Karadeniz Ereğli and Aliağa renewed their mandate.

In İskenderun, where three lists competed, the Blue List led by Kemal Kutlu received 97 out of 208 valid votes. The White List received 64 votes, while the Yellow List remained at 47 votes.

In Kocaeli, the Blue List led by Vedat Doğusel and his team won the election by receiving 126 out of 212 valid votes. The rival White List received 86 votes.

In Karadeniz Ereğli, the Blue List led by Oğuz Ünlüer participated in the election as a single list. In the branch with 126 registered voters, all 85 valid votes were cast in favor of the blue list.

In Aliağa, the Blue List led by Adem Şimşek also entered the election as a single list and received 86 votes.

The branch results send a message before the central election.

The victory of the blue lists in all four branches strengthens the representation power of the 'Viya Böyle' team, which Recep Düzgit works with. The success achieved against rival lists in İskenderun and Kocaeli was followed by the support given to the existing team in Karadeniz Ereğli and the renewal of trust for Adem Şimşek and his team in Aliağa. These results reveal the support of these cadres among the members ahead of the central election on October 11.

Recep Düzgit, the presidential candidate of the İMEAK Chamber of Shipping, will participate in the central election to be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 09:00 to 17:00 at the Istanbul Haliç Congress Center with a blue ballot.

    Election schedule for other branches.

Branch elections will continue on Saturday, October 3, in the Fethiye and Bodrum branches. Members in İzmir will go to the polls on Wednesday, October 7, while those in Marmaris will vote on Saturday, October 10. The election for the Antalya Branch will take place on Sunday, October 25.
