Orhan Dinç and İlkay Tugay were re-elected in the İMEAK DTO elections held on October 3, 2026, in Bodrum and Fethiye.
In the elections held on October 3rd at the Bodrum and Fethiye branches of the İMEAK Chamber of Shipping, the lists of Orhan Dinç and İlkay Tugay received the most votes.
Elections were conducted on Saturday, October 3, 2026, to determine the new leadership for the İMEAK Chamber of Shipping's Bodrum and Fethiye branches. In Bodrum, the current President Orhan Dinç, who ran as the sole candidate, received all the votes cast, while in Fethiye, the list of the current President İlkay Tugay emerged ahead by a margin of five votes in a contest among three lists.
In Bodrum, Dinç's list received 166 votes.
The voting process at the Bodrum Branch service building began at 09:00 and ended at 17:00. Out of 449 members eligible to vote, 166 participated in the election. Orhan Dinç's list, running as the only candidate, received all 166 votes cast.
During the election process, Dinç made statements regarding the new term, stating that they represent the maritime sector in Bodrum and Milas and expressed that they will continue their efforts to enhance the commercial activities of the members. Dinç also highlighted the development of the Bodrum Boat Show as one of the priorities for the new term.
In Fethiye, a five-vote difference was noted.
In the Fethiye Branch, the lists of İlkay Tugay, Mehmet Eskici, and Ali Somyürek competed. According to the announced unofficial results, Tugay's list received 204 votes, Eskici's list received 199 votes, and Somyürek's list received 55 votes. Two votes were deemed invalid.
With these results, the list of the current President İlkay Tugay surpassed the list of his closest rival Mehmet Eskici by a margin of five votes. The final results are expected to be clarified after the completion of the election-related processes.
