Columbia Group appoints Andreas Hadjipetrou as CEO after Mark O'Neil's departure, ensuring leadership continuity and strategic growth.
Columbia Group, one of the leading companies in the ship management sector, has appointed Andreas Hadjipetrou, who has served in the company's upper management for many years, as CEO. The appointment comes weeks after the sudden departure of former CEO Mark O’Neil.
Hadjipetrou, who has approximately 30 years of experience with Columbia Group, was most recently serving as the Commercial Director. With Hadjipetrou's official appointment as CEO following O’Neil's departure earlier this month, the company aims to ensure continuity in its management.
Management Team Strengthened
The company has also appointed Demetris Chrysostomou as Deputy CEO to strengthen its upper management structure. Columbia Group stated that this step would particularly contribute to its growth strategies in the Asian market.
O’Neil Had Resigned
Mark O’Neil, a well-known figure in the industry, had served as CEO of Columbia Group for nine years. Following O’Neil's resignation a few weeks ago, company owner Heinrich Schoeller emphasized the importance of operational continuity.
Launched Podcast Series
After his departure, Mark O’Neil co-launched a podcast series titled Hard to Port, which focuses on the maritime industry. The program addresses current issues and developments in the global maritime sector.
