Air Canada is named one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers for 2026, marking the eighth time in a decade, showcasing its commitment to inclusivity.
Air Canada has been recognised as one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers for 2026, marking the eighth time in ten years that the airline has received this prestigious award, as reported by GlobeNewswire.
Executive Vice President Arielle Meloul-Wechsler stated that this recognition highlights the airline's unwavering commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Employees, resource groups, and community partners collaborate to build a fair and inclusive workplace.
The NextWave Seafarers Project provides training placements for cadets from Least Developed Countries and Small Island Developing States. Air Canada continues to foster inclusivity through partnerships, scholarships, outreach to underrepresented communities, and internal governance structures that support a sense of belonging.
The competition recognises employers that create inclusive workplaces for women, visible minorities, persons with disabilities, Indigenous peoples, and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. Winners are selected by Mediacorp editors through submissions to Canada's Top 100 Employers project.
In addition to this recognition, Air Canada was also named one of Canada's Top Employers for Young People for 2026. The airline, headquartered in Montreal, is Canada's largest carrier and a founding member of Star Alliance. It operates to more than 180 airports worldwide and has set a long-term goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
