GAMEMAKER Eric Poses who created The Worst-Case Scenario card game, has been caught up in the latest fallout from the Covid crisis due to a backlogged global supply chain, reports the Associated Press.
The game was produced in China and was supposed to reach US retailer Target's distribution centres in early June. Instead, the games were stuck for weeks at the Port of Seattle and didn't arrive until the middle of July.
'You do everything right. You produce on time. You're psyched about your product,' said Mr Poses.
Mr Poses is contending with a perfect storm of supply trouble including rising prices, overwhelmed ports, a shortage of ships, trains, and trucks that will last into 2022.
Now Mr Poses is reconsidering a decision he made five years ago when the shifted production out of the US to China. Mr Poses might bring production back to Mexico, if not the US, to protect himself from the risks of relying on factories an ocean away.
