TAIWAN'S wan Hai Lines recently hosted a ship naming ceremony for their new vessel, Wan Hai A10, at the Samsung Heavy Industries Geoje shipyard, reports St Petersburg PortNews.
The company had signed a contract for thirteen 13,100-TEU containerships with Samsung Heavy Industries between 2021 and 2022, and thus far, three have been delivered.
Wan Hai A10 is the fourth vessel in the series, designed with energy efficiency and eco-friendliness in mind.
Equipped with balanced twisted bulb rudders and pre-swirl fins, the ship meets the highest requirements for EEDI.
All of the ships delivered have been certified with 'Smart Ship' notations. Wan Hai A10 is expected to be deployed in Asia to the East Coast of North America service and will be delivered by the end of April 2023.
