VIETNAM Airlines will relocate its Moscow operations from Domodedovo to Sheremetyevo International Airport in July, the largest and fastest growing airport in Russia in a move that will support Vietnam Airlines' partnership with Russian airline, Aeroflot.
The two carriers are discussing the option of code-sharing on domestic routes in Vietnam and Russia, as well as to extend their collaboration across several areas of their business, reported London's Air Cargo News.
Vietnam Airlines will continue to fly three direct Moscow ?Hanoi flights each week, using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, arriving at Sheremetyevo at 06:45 and departing at 14:40.
Airport authorities say it is the largest Russian airport in terms of passenger numbers and cargo volumes, take-off and landing operations and the capacity of the existing cargo facilities. Some 220 destinations are served via the Sheremetyevo route network.
