UTC Overseas Air Freight division in Frankfurt is a branch office of UTC Overseas GmbH, reporting to Sven Schnake, managing director. The goal is to grow UTC's airfreight business into a powerhouse, serving customers with oversized and overweight freight and general cargo shipments on all continents, reports AJOT.
'UTC Overseas Air Freight is ready to soar with an experienced team led by Jan Riksen, branch manager and head of air freight, that will offer personalized service and customized solutions for our clients. We are fortunate to have a seasoned operations team skilled in charters and consolidations, to assist with shipments globally. 'We will build on existing synergies within our network, and with this expertise in-house, we will be well-positioned to expand our reach. With an extensive worldwide office network to support this new division, UTC can handle shipments on six continents, offering personalized solutions and quick response times,' explained Mr Riksen.
UTC Overseas Air Freight is IATA-licensed and will tailor transport plans to meet customers' needs, offering door-to-door management on all major routes internationally. Over the years, UTC has developed strong relationships with carriers, which translates into speed, safety, convenience, and economy. Customs and compliance services, and cargo insurance round out the offerings.
Working alongside this group is Sebastian Stahl, senior vice president Global Air Freight. Mr Stahl has over 30 years of experience in industrial project logistics, including air chartering, and large-scale tonnage airfreight.
'We are very pleased to have our air freight team, up and running in our new Frankfurt office. The group can lend their expertise and guidance on chartering, loading aircraft, negotiating rates, and securing proper registrations. This knowledge and expertise will help to propel UTC to the next level in the air freight market,' said Mr Stahl.
