The Russian occupiers launched a missile attack on a Liberia-flagged bulk carrier KMAX Ruler (IMO: 9436642) entering the port in the Odesa region. As a result of the impact, Ukrainian pilot on the bridge died.This was reported by the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine. According to the military, the Russians fired a Kh-31P anti-radar missile in the direction of one of the ports of the Odesa region."The missile hit the superstructure of a civilian vessel under the flag of Liberia, at the moment of its entry into the port," the Southern Defense Forces clarified.
As a result of the impact, three members of the crew - citizens of the Philippines - were injured. One of them was hospitalized. The pilot was also killed, and another port worker was injured.This is not the first time that Russian occupiers have attacked civilian vessels in the Black Sea.
