ARKAS, a prominent turkish shipping line, has announced a substantial investment of US$240 million to acquire four state-of-the-art eco-designed container vessels, further bolstering its fleet, reports London's Port Technology.
This will expand Arkas' fleet to a total of 53 vessels and increase its overall TEU capacity to over 100,000.
The decision to invest in these next-generation vessels underscores Arkas' commitment to environmentalism and efficiency.
Each vessel, boasting a capacity to carry 4,300 TEU, will be constructed by China's Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard (GWS), celebrated for its exceptional manufacturing quality.
