This prestigious membership has positioned Türk Loydu as a key player in shaping global maritime standards, particularly in safety, environmental protection, and sustainability.Fleet Growth and Achievements Post-IACS MembershipSince becoming an IACS member on November 1, 2023, Türk Loydu has overseen the class transfer of 52 vessels, bringing the total number of classified ships to 531. This has resulted in a 20% increase in gross tonnage compared to the previous year.The expanded portfolio includes diverse vessel types, such as dry cargo ships, container ships, tankers, and Ro-Ro vessels. Of the newly transferred ships, 27 fly the Turkish flag, while 25 belong to other flags authorized by Türk Loydu. Further growth in class transfers is anticipated in 2025.In its efforts to comply with IACS rules, Türk Loydu reduced the number of non-compliant vessels from 19 to 14. Türk Loydu has significantly expanded its international reach, now recognized by 20 flag states, including Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, and Guinea-Bissau. Türk Loydu has actively contributed to IACS working groups, playing a crucial role in international maritime organizations, including the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
