Tianjin's intermodal containers to northwest China will top 500,000 TEU by 2015
THE sea-rail intermodal service from port of Tianjin to northwest China's Ningxia has been launched. The service's transportation volume is expected to exceed 500,000 TEU by 2015 with an annual growth of over 10 per cent, Xinhua reports.

THE sea-rail intermodal service from port of Tianjin to northwest China's Ningxia has been launched. The service's transportation volume is expected to exceed 500,000 TEU by 2015 with an annual growth of over 10 per cent, Xinhua reports.
The Tianjin-Ningxia intermodal service is one of the first six sea-rail container intermodal service demonstration projects in China. By 2020, the service's cargo movement will rise higher to 100 million TEU, further stimulating the economic development in the northwest hinterland.
