THE Port of St Petersburg posted a two per cent year-on-year increase in cargo volume in 9.22 million tonnes, with container throughput down one per cent to 359,443 TEU, reported Russia's PortNews.
According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products grew 33 per cent to 1,699,800 tonnes, dry bulk cargo fell 38 per cent to 814,700 tonnes, general cargo increased 11 per cent to 2.02 million tonnes, but ro-ro transshipments was down 62 per cent to 22,300 tonnes.
In 2019, the Port of St Petersburg posted a container throughput of 2.22 million TEU.
