SINGAPORE's November container volumes increased 1.26 per cent year on year to 3.01 million TEU, according to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
But November volumes fell compared to the 3.15 million TEU lifted in October. Year-to-date Singapore throughput increased of 8.95 per cent to 33.46 million TEU year on year.
Top rival Shanghai's November container throughput fell 1.9 per cent year on year to 3.53 million TEU, according to figures from Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG). Year to date, Shanghai lifted 34.93 million TEU, a year-on-year drop of 5.2 per cent.
