Singapore's volume falls 5.7pc in April to 2.63 million TEU
SINGAPORE's total container volumes fell by 5.7 per cent in April compared with the same month a year earlier to 2.63 million TEU, and was four per cent lower than March's 2.74 million TEU, according to data released by the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA).
Year-to-date, the Lion City's container traffic remained virtually flat after registering growth of just 0.3 per cent against the first four months of 2014 to 10.76 million TEU.
