MAWANI, the Saudi Ports Authority, has announced that the IMX service, operated by a maritime consortium consisting of Milaha, X-Press Feeders, and Unifeeder, has added King Abdulaziz Port to its list of ports, reports Hellenic shipping News Worldwide.
This new service based in Dammam will not only expand the scope of trade in the kingdom but also enhance its maritime connectivity with the rest of the world, which is a key objective of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy (NTLS).
The IMX route will include King Abdulaziz Port and the ports of Jebel Ali, Khalifa, Nhava Sheva, Hazira, Mundra and Hamad, with three vessels that can hold 3,500 TEU each.
In January of this year, a total of five shipping services were added to the trade hubs of Jeddah, Jubail and Dammam, creating new trade opportunities between the Kingdom and 43 ports worldwide.
King Abdulaziz Port is a top-ranked hub facing the Arabian Gulf, with world-class infrastructure and state-of-the-art equipment that offers exceptional operational efficiency, scale, and reliability.
