QANTAS Airways is buying the rest of Australia's Alliance Aviation Services valued at US$553 million, reports Bloomberg News.
Alliance operates 70 jets, Fokkers and Embraer 190s, that can each seat 100 people.
The jets are better suited for charter flights in Western Australia for mining companies including Fortescue Metals Group and BHP Group.
Qantas, which also owns Fokker aircraft, declared Alliance has an extensive inventory of spare parts for the planes which will prolong the working life of the two companies' combined fleets.
