THE 1,186-TEU Kota Wangsa reported that 17 containers were washed overboard in rough weather on August 6 while sailing from Chittagong in Bangladesh to Malacca Strait ports. The containers were lost in waters between the Myanmar coast and Coco Islands in the Andaman sea.
The Singapore-flagged ship has a carrying capacity was built in 1996 and is managed by PIL, reported Kiev's Maritime Bulletin, which specialises in marine casualties.
