HONG Kong's Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd (OOCL), a unit of COSCO, has taken delivery of its newest mega containership, 'OOCL Abu Dhabi', the fourth of six 24,188 TEU newbuildings to be delivered to shipping line by Dalian COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co, Ltd (DACKS).
HAN Lina, vice president of supply chain management Centre at Jiangsu Runergy New Energy Technology Co, Ltd was invited to name and give her blessings to the vessel at a ceremony held at DACKS shipyard.
At the event, Junguang Xiao, group legal advisor and director of oocl thanked DACKS for consistently building vessels of the top quality for OOCL.
'With the continuous delivery of new vessels, more and more ships carrying the plum blossom logo of OOCL are sailing on the sea, marking the continued upgrading of the fleet structure of OOCL and the group.
