HONG Kong's Orient Overseas Container Lines (OOCL), now a unit of Cosco, has received the 'Top Ranked Carrier 2019' award, thanks to the strong votes of confidence from members of the Agriculture Transportation Coalition (AgTC) community who participated in the 14th AgTC Ocean Carrier Performance Survey.
This is the fourth time that OOCL is ranked at the top spot by AgTC members over the past ten years.
Members assessed and voted for their top carriers based on various performance areas such as documentation accuracy and timeliness, quote responsiveness, equipment and space allocation, problem resolution and customer service practices.
Commenting on the results of the survey, Andy Tung, Co-CEO of OOCL said: 'We would like to thank AgTC and the members for this resounding vote of confidence in OOCL and our achievements. The mark of quality has long been the hallmark of OOCL and we have constantly been working on improving our processes, operations and technologies to meet the evolving needs of the industry while facilitating trade growth.'
Receiving the award on behalf of OOCL, Mike Young, vice president, Process & System Services of OOCL said: 'We are very encouraged by this top honour, a strong recognition of the success that we have in delivering best-in-class services and our commitment to continue growing our partnership with the AgTC community.'
