Norwegian Cruise Line has taken delivery of its newest cruise ship which is purpose-built for China. The Meyer Werft shipyard in Penburg, Germany has officially handed over Norwegian Joy to the cruise line. This handover transfers responsibility of the ship to NCL as the ship is now ready for service and its maiden voyage. The handover ceremony took place in Bremerhaven, Germany which is where the ship has been based since leaving the Papenburg shipyard in March 2017. This is the first purpose-built vessel for the cruise line which also has the Chinese name of 喜悦号 (Xǐ Yuè Hào) will cater to Chinese guests. The ship has some of the best features in the fleet with the first ever Racetrack at sea branded by Ferrari and an all-new The Haven Observation Lounge.
