NINGBO-ZHOUSHAN Port plans to acquire a 40 per cent stake in Jiangyin Sunan International Container Terminal to develop Yangtze river delta and river-sea combined transportation. The equity will be bought from Paul Y Corporation Limited.
Jiangyin Sunan International Container Terminal operates terminal number three at Jiangyin in China's Jiangsu province, including one 10,000 tonnes-class berth, one 20,000 tonnes-class berth and one 30,000 tonnes-class berth.
Upon completion of the deal, the company will be able to strengthen its business layout in Yangtze river ports and improve the competitiveness, according to Ningbo-Zhoushan port.
For the first three quarters of 2019, Ningbo-Zhoushan port handled 21.26 million containers, Seatrade Maritime News, Colchester, UK reported.
