MIAMI-BASED maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO) company FEAM Aero is to build a new 150,000 sq ft hangar at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International (CVG) airport to support growing cargo operations at the e-commerce hub.
The US$40.2 million three-bay facility is due to be completed by the end of 2023 and follows the MRO company's existing hangar at CVG, which spans over 100,000 sq ft of workspace.
This second hangar will be constructed from the ground up and will encompass 150,000 sq ft of hangar, back-shop, and storeroom space, in addition to 5,000 sq ft of administrative offices.
This facility will have the ability to accommodate widebody aircraft types up to 767 fully enclosed and will include three parking spots in the adjacent ramp space, reports London's Air Cargo News.
