THE Singapore branch of the Nautical Institute will holds its 2019 Nautical Institute Singapore Conference on May 15 at the Suntec City Convention Centre.
The full-day conference will draw some 150 delegates from various sectors within the shipping and maritime industry.
Themed 'Dealing with Tomorrow's Challenges Today', the conference aims to provide the maritime community with a detailed road map - in preparing for tomorrow's challenges in today's changing landscape.
Four panels will offer insights on key topics including new requirements and legislation, disruptive technology, cargo issues and the upcoming challenges of loss prevention.
'The advancement of technology and upcoming shipping regulations will transform the maritime industry at a revolutionising rate, and it is vital to have a clear road map to prepare its community for the future ahead,' said the institute's honorary secretary Yves Vandenborn.
'The conference, gathering industry professionals, is the perfect opportunity for both participants and speakers to collaboratively offer perspectives in seeking solutions to tomorrow's challenges,' he said.
