THE Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is strengthening its network in Southern Africa to improve trade with Europe and beyond, reports London's Port Technology International.
The company has updated its NWC to South Africa service and introduced two new shuttle services.
NWC to South Africa Service: Now includes a direct call to Walvis Bay, Namibia, connecting North Europe to South Africa and Namibia.
Namibia Express: Links Cape Town and Walvis Bay, enabling cargo delivery from Europe via Cape Town transshipment.
Mozambique Shuttle: Connects Walvis Bay with Maputo, Beira, Dar Es Salaam, and Mombasa, serving as a hub for European exports to East Africa.
The revised NWC to South Africa service will commence on January 20, 2025, with the msc Rosaria departing from London Gateway.
