KALMAR, part of Cargotec, has signed a deal to supply six zero-emission rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RTGs) to South Florida Container Terminal in Miami. The cranes will be equipped with a busbar energy system, auto steering and container stack profiling when they are delivered in early 2020.
'We will not only offer better service to our customers, but we will do it eco-efficiently with all-electric RTGs,' said South Florida Container Terminal managing director Mark Baker.
Said Kalmar Americas vice president Troy Thompson: 'We have worked extensively with the team at SFCT and are certain that our partnership will only strengthen as we move through this redevelopment together.'
