LUFTHANSA Cargo has developed the 'DGD.online' cloud application to help shippers digitalise their dangerous goods declarations on a paperless communication channel, with all relevant stakeholders along the supply chain.
The app allows for the creation of digital transport documents required for dangerous goods filing. DGD.online can be used for shipments sent via air, road and sea. The developers focused on designing a user-friendly interface with validation and convenient features to add value.
'With DGD.online, we are further expanding our digital offering and striving to make it as easy as possible for our customers and partners to use electronic services. In this way, we can all leverage the potential that digitisation has to offer and make air cargo handling even faster and more efficient in the future,' said head of digital transformation Boris Hueske.
The application can be used to generate and automatically send electronically signed dangerous goods declarations along with relevant documents, such as safety data sheets. Forwarders and logistics providers can also be integrated into the digital system in an effort to accelerate processes and prevent costly errors.
